Shayne an artist, singer-song writer and actor; his passion of music is the result of a lifetime of musical influence.

 

He knew from back in the 90s that he wanted to pursue his artistry and in mid 90s a late friend called Thabo AKA "T'bos" may his soul rest in peace formed a boy band which Shayne was part of, inspired by the likes of BoyzIIMen and "Shai" to name a few. The band was called 4-da-boyz and later changed to" Genteel" however like most bands they had to part ways due to normal circumstances.

 

Growing up in a talented surroundings of different forms of music, Shayne remained very active within the entertainment industry and though he didn't have his teenage boy band anymore he went on to become a male model, things were looking up and got a few titles under his belt but due to a lack of opportunities and funding he had to quit after failing to attend a major international modeling opportunity in Pretoria.

 

Things went very quite after then, but 2011 was the turning point of Shayne’s life when he attended auditions held by a popular soapie on SABC 2 Muvhango. Shayne auditioned for the role of Ranthumeng and made it to the call backs in Johannesburg but did not get the role however his determination and his acting skills for a first time actor with no acting background impressed the producers and landed him a role of a smooth talker and charming character of Neo; a friend to Ranthumeng and a successful Mosotho architect who broke Meiki's heart by leaving her high and dry and married another woman in Lesotho.

 

It was here that he developed his musical tastes and interests back again, he joined two other friends and formed a group called "Souluxion" of which he was a lead singer for. Being in the musical group again revived his musical dreams and for a while it looked like a break he was awaiting but it wasn’t. He then decided to fly solo to record his very debut studio album in 2014.

 

Finally, his much anticipated debut album, ‘Ora’, is now on sale and will soon be available for downloads of platform such as Itunes and google play. One can look forward to songs like Thula(Mama) - track no.8 which is basically telling afigurative story about single mother who are losing control over their children’s life and are losing them to the cruel world hence so many children have been lost to pressures of society and current ways of life.

 

And track no.7 - One night is a teasing song... Boy meets girl and they are attracted to each other but because of their outside commitments boy decides they should do all that lovers do in one night.

Shayne is currently working as Stock Administration Manager at Edcon and is also part of a musical movement and entertainment called T Entertainment.
